"I have experienced amazing results with Kirsten. I have stopped trying to dance for the approval of my teachers and started dancing for myself and my enjoyment. I have started being open with teachers about what I want for my future so they can help me get there, instead of being scared of saying the wrong thing or being judged. I have also learned so many ways to calm my nerves before a performance and how to harness my adrenaline to be present onstage and deliver a beautiful performance consistently. These are only some of the amazing things I have accomplished throughout my sessions with Kirsten. From our first meeting to the last, I have seen a big change in both my dancing and my mentality!  I loved my experience in The Confident Dancer Coaching Program, and I think so many others would as well!"

- Sophie DeGraff, Pre-Professional Ballet Dancer

Testimonials from dancers who have gone through The Confident Dancer coaching process:

"Before deciding to try out mindset coaching, I was struggling to believe in myself. It seemed like every time I looked in the mirror, I would only see what was wrong and I would get wrapped up in negative self-talk instead of being able to focus in class. I am so grateful to say that after working with Kirsten,  I now feel so free to believe in myself and have even seen such an improvement in my technique because I am no longer spending my time in class being overly critical of myself.

Having this new level of confidence has allowed me to put myself out there for opportunities more boldly, and this past audition season went better than I've ever experienced before. Before working with Kirsten, I knew that mindset was important, but now I know that getting support in this area is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your future as a dancer!"

- Madison D., Pre-Professional Dancer

"...Kirsten helped me to let go of limiting beliefs about my abilities and who I am that have been negatively impacting me mentally, emotionally, and ability to perform for years..."

"Working with Kirsten was a wonderful experience from the first DM to the last meeting! Kirsten listens, understands, and addresses the best explanations for what you are feeling and how to move forward. All the powerful tools that Kirsten shared with me in our sessions will stay with me for years to come, and I've seen an incredible boost in confidence and a positive shift in the way I relate to myself by putting them into practice.

Kirsten helped me to let go of limiting beliefs about my abilities and who I am that have been negatively impacting me mentally, emotionally, and ability to perform for years.  Getting to know and learn about how to correctly address things like worrying about what others think with personalized coaching was so incredibly helpful. I learned so much about myself as a person and artist, and I think this is the most important aspect I can take from the coaching sessions with Kirsten. I didn't want our work together to end!"

- Claudia Suarez, Professional Dancer

"...I doubt myself less, spend less time comparing myself to others, and feel more calm and focused as I dance than ever before."

- Michelle Cordero, Ballet Student

"Before going through The Confident Dancer Coaching Program, I was struggling a lot with my confidence and was constantly doubting myself, my body, and my technique. I was scared of doing the steps that I was weak at, and was at a crossroads with whether I should continue training at a school that was very unhealthy for me. With Kirsten’s support, I now feel more confident, optimistic, and able to celebrate my best efforts instead of focusing on perfection. I feel like I can approach difficult steps with less fear and more excitement.  I doubt myself less, spend less time comparing myself to others, and feel more calm and focused as I dance than ever before."

What some results can I expect to gain from this program?

If you resonate with any of these examples the Confident Dancer Collective was made for you!

  • You know you want to improve and keep pushing your limits but a lack of confidence is keeping you from wanting to be visible in ballet class unless you are 100% you can do the step, fearing judgement from others and assuming everyone else notices your every flaw, not putting yourself out there for auditions because you already feel like you’re not good enough, getting an opportunity and immediately assuming whoever picked you must have made a mistake or overestimated you, having trouble concentrating and enjoying ballet class because you get stuck in spirals of self-critical thoughts, etc.
  • I could go on, but if any of these examples resonate with you, this program was designed with you in mind!

What some results can I expect to gain from this program?

  • The ability to shift your mindset to help you to tap into confidence whenever you desire it, whether that is for class, auditions, performances, or just life in-general.
  • The awareness of how to move through insecurities, fears, doubts, frustration, and discouragement whenever it comes up so you don’t have to fear getting stuck in a pit whenever you experience a difficult situation.
  • Reassurance that your past experiences of having low self-confidence or a lack of trust in yourself/your abilities certainly does not exclude you from feeling very confidence and free in your future. You will truly see that confidence is NOT reserved for the most talented or even those with more extroverted, charismatic personality types. You will learn what embodying confidence can look like for you specifically and exactly how to show up that way in all scenarios you face as a dancer.
  • A true sense of what you have to offer as a dancer and what you’re capable of so you don’t constantly get stuck in the trap of comparison.
  • Practical, simple-to-implement steps you can continue to come back to in order to continue to build confidence throughout your life and career, no matter what new challenges you face.
  • Clarity around what simple changes can be made within your mindset and actions in order to show up focused, grounded, confident, and even joyful in your dance practice each day.
  • A sense of community and powerful hope and encouragement that change is WAY more possible than you might have ever thought. You will feel excited to be a part of a group of dancers who are going out and creating a positive ripple effect within ballet culture by showing other dancers that this change is possible for them too.

Yes! Though most of my audience members are ballet dancers, I have worked with many dancers who primarily do broadway jazz, competition dance, contemporary, modern, hip hop, or ballroom and have found that there is so much that all dancers have in common in terms of our struggles, goals, and experiences. No matter your genre, go ahead and apply for the program and if your goals are a match with what this program is designed to help with, you will be welcome to join.
